Melissa Roberts Vice President of Accounting & Finance
Melissa Roberts is the Vice President of Finance & Accounting and has been with Bay City since early 2021; she was hired to bring the Accounting and IT functions in-house after splitting from a shared services arrangement with a sister company. She has built successful Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Financial Services and IT departments and has had a smooth, successful transition with in-house administrative support functions.

Melissa holds a BS degree in Accounting from CSUSM and MBA from University of Redlands. She has over 20 years in the accounting field, with experience in multiple industries including public accounting, construction, and government. Prior to working at BCEW, Melissa was the Controller at a gypsum board distributor in San Diego. She spent a number of years building and expanding the accounting team from 2 to 12 staff members and helped grow the company from 4 to 8 locations throughout California and Hawaii.

Melissa was raised in California and is raising her 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl, in Poway, CA. Melissa and her family enjoy camping, boating, and exploring what the world has to offer. Making memories with her children is her favorite thing to do!
